Involved

I'm excited to announce, thanks to my good friend Mario, that I am now a part of the many contributors for the International Museum of Terran Arts project: Pocket Art concepts. It is an honor to be a part of such talent and will give me a memorable experience in something I love so very much!

I've seen examples on www.mopaonline.com but the only question I have really is that, are these examples regular size pieces of artwork condensed into the pocket sized criteria? Or, did these artists actually complete these pieces based on the required project measurements?

So, if anyone is familiar with this particular project and has a better grasp on the main focus and details of it, please feel free to contribute any information that might clear this up. Thanks all!

  1. Hi! this is Robert and I'm the director at MOPA. I started MOPA as an alternative venue to show work from artists who might not other wise have a place to show. I ask artists to submit work that fits the size restrictions of the gallery space, that is usually 2X3.5 inches. In other words these are not reproductions of work re-sized and made to fit, the originals fit in your pocket and follow the required project measurements. Mario submitted his proposal for this show and I think it's a great idea. Hope this helps, if you have any more questions you can contact me directly from the MOPA website on the contacts page.
